About Me

My name is Hal, and I am 22 years of age, though a lot of the time, I feel much older than that, lol. I am bigender and use He/Him or She/Her pronouns, whichever works, I don't mind either. My favorite colors are Green and Purple for sure, and I love wearing clothing that has checks on it. I am all about the slightly grunge slightly glam 80's-90's vibe.I got my start drawing from watching My Little Pony (Gen3) as a kid. It wasn't the height of Hasbro's pony shows, but I was all about it. I also watched a ton of Disney. Atlantis: The Lost Empire and Treasure Planet were two movies I would watch on repeat, along with Dreamwork's Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas.At first, I never considered the idea that I could be an animator. It always seemed like something that was done by wizards, not something achievable by average humans. What really set me down this path was watching animated storytime youtubers on YouTube back when that was popular. That was what made it click that, hey, anybody can be an animator, it's hard, but it's possible, and that's when I knew that this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.The stories I like to tell are adventurous and character centered, much like my favorite movies growing up. I personally believe that strong, likeable characters are the backbone of a good story, if you're invested in the characters, you're really gonna care about what happens in the story.Hal I.
